Estimates, not clinical assessments:
The SkinBalance score, insights and Before/After comparisons are estimates. They are generated by applying fixed, predefined rules to the information you enter, including your onboarding details and daily logs. MySkync does not use artificial intelligence or machine learning, and we do not send your entries, photos or onboarding data to any external AI provider or third-party model. Because the results depend on what you enter, inaccurate or incomplete information will produce unreliable results.

Consult a professional:
Always consult a qualified healthcare or dermatology professional about skin conditions, contraception, diagnosis or any other medical decision. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you have read on this website or in the app. Decisions you make based on this information remain your own responsibility.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and app are provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no representation or warranty as to the accuracy, adequacy, reliability, availability or completeness of any information, score or insight, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from reliance on them in place of professional advice.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded under Dutch law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, intent or gross negligence. MySkync is intended for users aged 16 and over. Users aged 16 or 17 need the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

Governing terms:
Use of the MySkync app is governed by our Terms of Use, which prevail if they differ from this disclaimer. Our Privacy Policy explains how we process your personal data. This disclaimer is governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without affecting any mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.
